At first, I thought The Delta was rather generic, but then you are hit with one of the biggest twists of the entire Walking Dead series when a character you met in the first season comes back to haunt you. It is incredibly well done and my jaw was legit on the floor when this happened. I do not know if they planned this all the way back then, but if they did For this final episode, Telltale stuck with what they know and from a gameplay point of view, there is nothing really new in The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

I am fine with that though as this is a game that is all about the story and the gameplay that is actually here is great and moves things along. Once again you will be communicating with other characters and what you do and say can make a difference. There are some quick time events too which are super tense and often made me wonder if what I had done was the right thing. I also want to talk about the ending, but do not worry I am not going to spoil anything here.

This is the fourth game well fifth if you count Days in this saga. It is a saga that got me so emotionally invested that I would have to put The Walking Dead as an overall series in my top ten of all time. It must have been so hard for the guys and gals behind this to come up with a good ending, but I really feel that they nailed the ending.

It is sad, but at the same time, there is hope. So many stories struggle to wrap things up, but The Walking Dead does it very well and I was certainly not disappointed with the way everything came to a close. Playing as Clementine and looking after AJ felt great in this game. The shocking return and the awful choices that you need to make really do make this one of the most memorable games in the series.

One of my big hopes for the year is that we get some kind of collector's edition that has the whole Walking Dead saga on one disc, that would be awesome.

One thing that many fans are most thankful for about The Walking Dead The Final Season is the fact that the game exists. Telltale Games had to shut their doors, leaving the fate of the remaining episodes up in the air. By now most people know the formula of one of these games inside and out. However, when The Walking Dead was released in it was quite a different story and many people were blown away with the way the game played.

This is not an action shooter like you would think a game about zombies would be. This is a story driven game that actually has more in common with point and click adventure games than it does anything else.

Lee can talk to many different people and there is always a choice of what you can say. What you say matters greatly as does what you do.

Sometimes it can have a really dramatic effect on what happens next. In theory, this means that The Walking Dead is great for multiple playthroughs and it is. I though think that the first play through that you make, where you make all your choices on pure instinct is really magical stuff.

Shortly after the first episode begins, we come across who would become the real main character of the series, Clementine. She is a little girl who has been left alone after her parents went to stay in a hotel for the weekend and her baby sitter got killed by a Walker. Lee and Clementine strike up a friendship right away and he agrees to take her to Savannah where she thinks her parents are.

The relationship between Lee and Clementine is one that is really special and one of the best that I have ever come across in a video game. You really would do anything to protect her and the game really pulls at your emotions.

As well as Clementine, you come across many other characters who are memorable. My favorite has always been Kenny and I found that I sided with him through pretty much everything that happened.

You, of course, lose members of your group along the way and there is a scene with Kenny, his wife and their son that is truly heartbreaking stuff. It was one of those things where the first time I played the game I was latterly stunned at what I had to do.
